Sort of: I might ditch the prologue and put an author's note instead to set the scene. I need to change some descriptions to action in two chapters.
I started writing some of the book 5 years ago: it's hard to be objective now. I also don't want to salami slice it and lose the overall zest of the original.
What a fun list! You've got me thinking about what 10 books I would have on a desert island...SO hard to choose! And interestingly, I have only read the top three on your list. I have read essays by Orwell (your #4), but not a complete collection like that. I may just have to steal this idea from you for an upcoming post. Thanks for sharing. :)
Hey what do you need James? Are these "structural changes" based on beta reader reactions?

Breaking news: it's hard being a writer!!
I want to be careful because I don't read your genre. But typically readers want to jump right into a story

Steal away: we could start a trend!
I love that! Ok! You've convinced me. Next week...now I just need to start figuring out the list!
